Firstly, you have a beautiful, unique soundprint that is necessary to our planet, our world. We are a welcoming community open to all levels of singers. It will be hard for you to find a more supportive community! Our classes are designed to provide you with the skills you need to blossom. And, just like any skill, singing helps you become a better singer.

Of course, it works best for group dynamics if we get to know each other from the beginning of the term. But, we are a welcoming community and find that singers still benefit greatly when they beginning as far in as the third week in the term.

So that you may experience our programs before making a financial commitment, we offer the following drop-ins: First timers, at any time during a term, may come to a Circle Singing / Vocal Improvisation session. The Vocal Mastery sessions, given the class size limitation, is available for the first week of the term only. We charge a small fee to cover the cost of the room rental for drop-ins. This rolls over every calendar year so you can try it again.

Drop in cards are great for singers who want to participate without an ongoing commitment. They are good for a whole year. The cards are virtual, so you don't have to keep track of an actual card. We take role at each session and keep track that way. Every few months you receive an email from us with the number of sessions you have remaining. ***Please note that drop in cards are good for only one person. If you have a friend who wants to experience Circle Singing for the first time, please have them register for a drop in class for only $10. First timer friends can join us any time during the term.

Yes, private lessons are offered in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Since I commute to Santa Fe, we will try to arrange your lessons on a day when I teach classes, or have other Students. Privates in Santa Fe are taught at Candyman Strings & Things.

Sometimes life happens and we can't do everything we want to do. You are welcome to come to the same session in the sister city to make up what you miss. *** Please stay home if you are contageous! *** If instructor misses a class, a makeup class will be scheduled for the week after term ends, most likely at the same time and location.

We strongly encourage all potential HVL students to come to one of our First-timer drop-in classes. We offer them the first class of each term for Vocal Mastery and throughout the term for Circle Singing / Vocal Improv. This helps you know if we are a good fit for you. Holistic Voice Lab does not provide refunds after the second session of the first term. You must provide your request in writing before the second session. HVL will deduct the price of each session and a $75 cancellation fee from the amount being refunded. Drop-in cards are non-refundable but are transferable to a friend for the unused portion. Please provide a statement in writing along with the name of your friend. We cannot honor refunds without a written request.
